The aim of my piece was to capture the essence of Christmas as I experienced it during childhood. Back then, the holiday was filled with the joy of receiving gifts, spending time with family, and embracing the magic of the season without any worries. As an adult, however, the focus has shifted to the responsibilities that come with the season—managing the cost of gifts for loved ones, the pressure of selecting the perfect presents, and the expectation of expressing heightened emotions when receiving a gift. My intention was to create something that embodies the joy and playfulness of childhood while also conveying the emotional experience of what it truly feels like to be a child.
